Housing Stability

Through participation in First Place, former foster youth have a higher level of housing stability than the general population of former foster youth. First Place provides youth with access to permanent, safe, affordable housing via a graduated rent subsidy, and assistance with move-in costs, essential furnishings and house wares. In addition, First Place provides comprehensive case management, housing advocacy and practical tenancy training where youth learn how to understand a lease agreement and stay in good standing with their landlord and neighbors.
